The Center and the Biomedical Humanities Program at Hiram have just been awarded a $200,000 Challenge Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Hiram College will raise $800,000 to match the challenge by June of 2006. The $1 million will endow the annual summer seminar, bring visiting faculty to teach in the Biomedical Humanities program, provide faculty development funding to enrich the program, endow the operations of the Center, and help establish links with area institutions.
